Dragonlight
the New City

The time for the fundation of
Dragonlight it getting close. First round in the land rush is
almost here! I urge all castle-deed owners to go out there and
get those deeds placed. The location of Dragonlight will depend
on how successfull the castle-deed-owners are. May the fortune
be with you!
The name has now been chosen.
I thank all tha voted! Now its time to begin to look at how we
want the city to become prosperous and beautiful. Ruth is currently
working on the new website for the city. It has a great Dragonlight
forum where all kinds of roleplaying is discussed.

Lottery prosponed

The
lottery has been prosponed till after the new lands has been published,
and the foundation of Dragonlight is at an end.
To collect money for future
events, the Church is holding several lotteries of various sizes.

Drachenfels
RP-list

The list just passed 111 members!
And we have been blessed with the
pressence of Seer Adhemar. I
have also just added two search options; by name, and by guild.
This list will serve as a contact
list for roleplayer events and as a way for us to keep track of
who and where of the RolePlayers of Drachenfels. I hope that this
list will enhance the RolePlayer community on Drachenfels. View

Dragonlight
FINAL location.

After the meeting in irc this
monday, it was decided that the area for Dragonlight will be the
area just north east of Britain, just accross the water west of
Cove. The are north of Minoc was deemed too hot, and the fear
for being infiltrated with a lot of foreign houses was too big.
A few suggested that there should be one kind of houses (like
brick, marble, plaster, wood) in the city. This will be discussed
in the next meeting, before the medium and smaller housing begins.
As there will be some towers, and quite a few of the new two story
building it might be interesting to keep the rest of the buildings
in the same style as the tower or the new two story?
It will be really exciting to see if we get the area. *holding
his breath*

To better administer future events
a channel in mIRC has been created on the uoss server. This channel
will be open all the time, and all roleplayers are invited to
join. This channel will be extra important to use if you are planning
to participate in an event, as all the coordination will be done
here. But feel free to hang around in the channel while you play
UO.
How to install mIRC and
enter #RP-List
1. First downliad a free copy of
mIRC32
2. Install it :)
3. Run the program, and enter your name, email, nickname and an
alternative nick.
4. Press the Add button
above the 'Connect to IRC server!' button
5. enter:
Description: UO Server
IRC Server: stratics.frws.com
Port(s): 6667
6. reserve your current nickname by using: /msg nickserv REGISTER
***** (where ***** is your password)
7. Then type: /join #RP-List
That's it! You should be in the
channel by now J By choosing the option-IRC-highlight, you can
set the program to flash when your name is called and irc is in
the background. It's a really good tool!
ALTERNATIVE:
Go to uoss.stratics.com and look
under Drachenfels. There is a webbased live-irc-chat there that
can be used. Just type "RP-List" in the channel field,
and login. Simple as can be. Oh,
and remeber to set a nickname :)
